Description
An 18,000 LPH (Liters Per Hour) RO Plant is a high-capacity industrial water purification system designed to produce 18,000 liters of purified water every hour through the process of Reverse Osmosis (RO). These plants are widely used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, textiles, chemicals, hospitals, hotels, and manufacturing units where a continuous supply of high-quality purified water is essential. The system effectively removes dissolved salts, impurities, bacteria, viruses, suspended particles, and harmful chemicals from raw water, making it suitable for industrial and commercial applications.
The working principle of an 18,000 LPH RO Plant is based on reverse osmosis technology, in which water is forced through semi-permeable membranes under high pressure. These membranes allow only pure water molecules to pass while rejecting contaminants such as Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), heavy metals, and microorganisms. The process ensures highly purified water with consistent quality and improved taste, odor, and clarity.
An industrial 18,000 LPH RO system generally consists of several major components including a raw water pump, multi-grade sand filter, activated carbon filter, antiscalant dosing system, micron cartridge filters, high-pressure pump, RO membranes, control panel, and storage tanks. The pre-treatment section removes suspended solids, chlorine, and organic impurities, which helps in protecting the RO membranes and increasing their life span. The high-pressure pump then forces water through the membranes to achieve efficient purification.
