Description

An Industrial RO System is a large-scale water purification unit designed to remove dissolved salts, chemicals, microorganisms, heavy metals, and suspended impurities from water using Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology. It is widely used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, textiles, chemicals, power plants, hospitals, hotels, and manufacturing units where a continuous supply of high-quality purified water is essential for production processes and equipment safety.

The working principle of an Industrial RO System is based on reverse osmosis, where raw water is forced through semi-permeable membranes under high pressure. These membranes allow only pure water molecules to pass while rejecting contaminants like dissolved solids, bacteria, viruses, and harmful salts. The result is clean and safe water with reduced Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), suitable for industrial applications such as boiler feed water, cooling towers, process water, and sometimes drinking water.

An Industrial RO System typically consists of several key components that work together for efficient water purification. These include a raw water feed pump, pressure sand filter, activated carbon filter, water softener, micron cartridge filter, high-pressure pump, RO membrane housing, RO membranes, dosing system, flow meters, pressure gauges, electrical control panel, and storage tanks. The pre-treatment stage plays a vital role in removing suspended particles, chlorine, hardness, and organic matter before water enters the RO membranes, ensuring better performance and longer membrane life.
