Description

An Industrial Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is a specialized system designed to treat wastewater generated from industrial processes before it is discharged into the environment or reused. This plant removes physical, chemical, and biological contaminants from sewage, ensuring that the treated water meets environmental safety standards and regulatory norms. It is widely used in industries such as manufacturing, textiles, pharmaceuticals, food processing, chemicals, hotels, hospitals, and large commercial facilities.

The main objective of an Industrial Sewage Treatment Plant is to reduce pollution load, eliminate harmful substances, and make wastewater safe for discharge or reuse. Industrial wastewater typically contains organic matter, suspended solids, oils, chemicals, toxic compounds, and microorganisms, which can be harmful to the environment if not treated properly.

The working process of an Industrial STP involves multiple stages of treatment. The first stage is preliminary treatment, where large solid particles, grit, and debris are removed using bar screens and grit chambers. This is followed by primary treatment, where suspended solids settle at the bottom of sedimentation tanks, forming sludge, while lighter materials float on the surface and are removed.
